The P.U.R.E. Empowerment Center is a community based, church sponsored facility whose leaders are called to minister, through life skills training, to those who wish to challenge themselves to achieve their full potential for independence, productivity and inclusion in the community. P.U.R.E. Empowerment Center founders, Destry LeBrun, Director, Pure Friendship Ministries and Tara Potter, Training Coordinator,Trio Employment Network, have partnered to provide an individualized approach to teaching independence through life skills to our neighbors living with disabilities. Destry, a former support coordinator, has provided support to individuals with disabilities for over 20 years, along with Beverly Marshall, a community leader and provider of services, have partnered to provided Exercise and Nutrition Training Each Friday after the 10a Coffee Social. The time for this class is 11:30-12:30p and costs only $5 to participate in a comprehensive exercise curriculum which will challenge you to lose weight, gain flexibility and promote your overall wellness. Tara Potter, Supported Employment Specialist and deliverer of person centered employment supports for more than 10 years, has begun course training at P.U.R.E. Empowerment Center which address life skills and employment skills for those who wish to gain their independence. With five (5) employment specialists, including Ms. Potter, PURE Empowerment Center, can accommodate any employment need and are vendors with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities and Vocational Rehabilitation.
